City Clerk

The City Clerk provides administrative support to the City Administrative Office and the Mayor and Council; administers City elections; provides staff support for the Board of Supervisors of Elections, Ethics Commission, and maintains up-to-date records for the City.

Administrative Support for Administrative Office and Mayor and Council

  • Handles routine correspondence, telephone calls, emails, and assistance to visitors
  • Facilitates calendar matters, through maintenance of the City's master calendar
  • Facilitates travel details, including conference planning, meeting schedules and reimbursements

Council Workshop Meetings and Council Legislative Meetings

  • Coordinates agenda preparation and packet materials
  • Attends all Council Workshop and Council Legislative Meeting
  • Prepares minutes

New Carrollton Charter and Code

  • Prepares ordinances; resolutions; proclamations; certificates; updates; amendments to City Charter and Code; and dissemination of charter and code.

Boards and Commissions

  • Maintains agenda and minutes by the Board of Commissions (Board of Elections and Ethics)
