Mayor's Welcome

Welcome to New Carrollton.

Welcome to our bedroom community; a neighborhood that celebrates diversity and strives to ensure that all are welcome.

New Carrollton has so much to offer! Enjoy our trails, trees, community gardens and parks. Find a lifelong tennis partner, ride the biking trails, or get a summer membership to the NCR pool. Join children's story time or use the 3D printer at the library. And get ready for new and improved parks and schools coming soon!

Do you need or want to get around the east coast corridor? New Carrollton's various modes of transportation allow you to travel in many styles. New Carrollton is THE place to live if you use Metro, Amtrak, MARC, or soon to be completed Purple Line. Using a car? Travel easily on I-495, Baltimore Washington Parkway, or U.S. Route 50. Quickly get to Reagan National, Thurgood Marshall BWI, or Dulles International Airports. Or, stay a while at our hotel, and enjoy being a tourist in Prince George's County and Washington, DC.

Even with all of these amenities, the greatest thing about New Carrollton is Our People. Our residents share unique life experiences while working together to create a shared vision for the place they've chosen to call home. New Carrollton is a unique blend of small town and metropolitan, blue and white collar, elders and children. New Carrolltonians share their time and talents, and I couldn't be prouder to serve as their Mayor. If you're already part of our community, we're so glad you're here.

If you're considering relocating your home or business to New Carrollton, check out our beautiful tree lined quiet streets and know that you are WELCOME. I'm certain you'll love it here as much as our current residents do.

New Carrollton: Accessible. Walkable. Livable.
