Call-A-Bus: Call-A-Bus is available to New Carrollton Residents

 The New Carrollton Call-A-Bus offers lift-equipped, door to door free transportation for New Carrollton Senior Citizens (age 55 and older), individuals with disabilities and veterans for medical appointments, hospital visits, shopping and social activities within a 5 mile radius.

Forty-eight hour advance reservation is required, appointments are scheduled on a first-come first serve basis, priority is given to seniors and individual with disabilities going to medical appointments.

Children four years of age and under must be secured in a child safety seat provided by the adult passenger who must accompanied them.

This service is available Monday through Friday from 9:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. except on holidays or if Prince George’s County schools are closed or even delayed due to harsh weather.

Residents are required to register for this service. An application may be obtained by calling City Hall at: 301-459-6100

Once registered residents can make reservations by calling 301-577-1008.

MetroAccess: The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) provides curb-to-curb service for people with disabilities who cannot use regular public transportation. To find out whether the person you care for is eligible or to make reservations, call 562-5360 (voice) or TDD 301-588-7535.

Senior Transportation Services (STS): STS provides transportation to a number of senior programs including a free ride to county nutrition sites. For the Nutritional Programs, call 301 265-8450. Seniors can receive transportation for medical purposes, such as dialysis. Call 301 499-8603 for more information on the medical program. General transportation to senior activity centers, shopping trips and other recreational outings is also available for seniors. Call 301 883-5656 for more information.
